Grayson at the Park!

Yesterday, I took Grayson and Sammy to Crowder Park. Paula and her little Peyton joined us along with her sister-in-law, Stephanie, and her tiny one Jaxon. Grayson had a blast! Running around to all the slides, and looking at all the water animals. Here's just a few shots of him at play! Enjoy.
Grayson so wanted to see over this rail...
So, I picked him up so that he could see. His response when he saw the lake was "Oh, that's a lot of water!"
He deserved a kiss for that comment! (Thanks to Paula for capturing these moments with Grayson, I'm usually the one behind the camera, not in front!)
Grayson and Miss Paula spot a turtle sunning himself on a log.
Grayson stops for a minute to watch the Duckies swim but... Then he spots another slide!!!! And he's off...
To enjoy just a couple of trips down the slide before it's time to go home! Isn't he hansom? I think he's at his cutest, when he's outside and having fun!

Big Days for Sammy!

Ok, so I am so very behind on everything! Life is taking a tole, I'm afraid. Sammy has just turned 1!!!!!!! I cannot believe it! He's gotten so big. Yesterday he took three steps and said "night, night" for the first time.

So, to catch you up a bit, here's a few pictures from his Birthday! Enjoy!
This is the look Sammy gave me when I walked in his room to get him up the morning he turned 1, singing Happy Birthday, with the camera attached to my face!
It took him a couple of minutes, but he figured out that this singing thing was actually a good thing, then he got into it!

He gives me the cutest looks in the morning!

Just in case you didn't know, He's letting you know, He's One!!!!

Then on Sunday, we had his 1st Family Birthday Party with his Grammy, Poppy, Auntie Tara, Uncle Greg and all the Wild Flowers Cousins!

Don't you just love birthday balloons!?
Sammy didn't quite know what to make of the candles and all these people singing at him. He looked a little afraid.
But, he did know exactly what to do with his cupcake. Although, he insisted on eating it from the bottom up.
Once he got to the icing, he REALLY liked it!
It was quite tragic when it was all gone!
Then it was time to dive into the presents!!! He had fun throwing tissue paper!
Note the look of concentration, with his tongue poking out. He enjoyed playing with his new toys for a few minutes...But, soon he found his way to Savannah's doll house of all things!
Not to worry, his big cousins made good use out of his new toys!

11-Months-Old

ELEVEN MONTHS OLD!!!! Can you believe it? He's almost a year old! NNNNOOOOO!

I had a very scary moment the day I took these photos. We were at my friend, Paula's house. I was photographing her new LITTLE, premie nephew, Jaxon. I was sitting beside Jaxon, getting the blankets just right for a photo, when I felt a little hand on my leg. I thought it was Paula's little girl, but when I looked down, it was Sammy. He looked up at me, and he looked like such a BIG BOY! it was the same feeling I had about Grayson when he walked into the hospital room after Sammy was born. He had grown up in that split second. I was fighting tears. A happy and yet VERY sad moment at the same time.

Grayson's 1st Movie!

Saturday was a monumental day for Grayson. Michael and I took Grayson, along with Isaac and Savannah to see the new Veggie Tales Movie, The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything! The movie doesn't come out until this Friday, but I WON free passes to a pre-screening from HIS Radio. I was so worried that Grayson wouldn't be able to sit for the whole thing, or get scared or cranky. Boy, was I wrong!!! He sat in his little theater chair with his mouth gaping wide open the whole time! Every now and then, he would look and me and whisper, "It's Bob" and turn back and watch. He is still talking about that movie today! HIS Radio was also giving out movie posters. Grayson's posted had to be put on his wall the moment we got home from the movie. He goes to it several time a day, points at it and say is awe, "It's Pirates Don't Do Anything!" It was definitely a morning well spent! When the movie goes to the $1.50 theater, I think we'll have to take him again, just to watch his face! :)
